REZsolutions Joins with TEN Online for Enhanced Internet Distribution

Added: (Fri Dec 03 1999)

Pressbox (Press Release) - More than 5,500 REZsolutions properties represented on HotelBook.com are now available for bookings on TEN Online's Level 2000 Internet Distribution System

PHOENIX-Dec. 3, 1999-- REZsolutions Inc., the world's leading provider of distribution systems and solutions for the hospitality industry, is proud to announce its new agreement with TEN Online.

The agreement will provide more than 5,500 REZsolutions hotel customers, who are currently represented on REZsolutions' HotelBook.com web site, expanded selling opportunities, as they are now accessible for bookings on the TEN Online Level 2000 system and affiliated Internet travel portals.

In preparation for the arrangement, REZsolutions created an interface that enables TEN Online to deliver data directly from HotelBook onto multiple web sites as a 'private-label offering', which allows for distribution under the HotelBook identity. REZsolutions' hotel customers will then be accessible for bookings on those sites.

The use of these multiple Internet distribution channels offers participating hotels increased exposure while marketing their properties via the Internet, one of today's fastest growing distribution channels.

"Currently, 3 to 4 percent of REZsolutions' reservations are secured through the Internet. By 2008, we are predicting that Internet reservations will leap to 65 percent,'' stated Ian Wagge, vice president Internet planning and distribution at REZsolutions.

"Our objective is to give hotels complete control of the multiple Internet distribution channels through one point of access. Successful Internet distribution requires that your hotel is in the right place at the right time, therefore, the hotel needs to be available on multiple sites.

"Today independent hotels can be viewed on a number of Internet booking sites, but they have to maintain data on each site. Our model will allow hoteliers the widest possible distribution with minimal effort."

Recognizing the importance of being present on every major travel portal on the World Wide Web, HotelBook's content is also currently distributed through all major Internet travel sites including TravelWeb.com, Travelocity.com and Expedia.com.

TEN Online will draw on REZsolutions' extensive hotel database for its web site serving corporate and leisure market segments that are processed through a secured, real time Internet Distribution System (IDS) process.

"I am very excited with the tremendous value this partnership affords REZsolutions' hotels by multiplying their presence among highly visible travel sites including public as well as private-accessed IDS such as travel agency consortia, trade associations and industry organizations, and increasing revenue-generating points-of-sale," said John Ramos, president of TEN Online.

TEN Online has been delivering travel-related Internet and Intranet technology solutions since January 1995. More information on its web development e-commerce services is available at http://www.tenonline.com.
