Detrended fluctuation analysis was performed, and the resulting �� values were compared with those for the original data using a Student's paired t test for dependent samples. The mean, SD, CV and �� value of the ISI time series and the mean, RMSE, SD, CV and �� value of the force time series, as well as aEMG were examined using factorial mixed-design, repeated-measures ANOVAs, with age as the between-subjects factor and gain as the within-subjects factor. Post hoc analyses were performed with the Bonferroni post hoc test.
