FREMONT, Calif.--Nov. 19, 1999--NetUSA, Inc. (OTCBB: NTSA - news) announced today that it has launched the electronic edition of its Silicon Valley High Tech magazine.
The magazine, a Chinese language high technology publication, is now available online at http://www.svhitech.com. The current issue (November) features Hewlett-Packard CEO Carleton Fiorina and in-depth analysis of Hewlett-Packard's reorganization. Since the website became active, it has already become a popular destination for Chinese readers seeking up-to-date high technology news.
Prior to the launching of the electronic edition, SV High Tech had already enjoyed distribution to Chinese communities worldwide. In the future, NetUSA plans provide additional services and information on the SV High Tech website - the technology news and analysis will be updated around the clock, and there will be other services and products available on the website as well.
With the launching of the electronic edition, SV High Tech seeks to further become a more important presence in the China market. NetUSA hopes to employ its strategic partnerships with seven major Internet organizations in China, including Tanfo Online, the largest Internet service provider in southwestern China, and Guangzhou Information Center, the official telecommunications provider for the city of Guangzhou, to provide SV High Tech (both paper and electronic editions) to consumers throughout China. NetUSA is currently in the process of setting up mirrors for the SV High Tech electronic edition in China in association with these strategic partners.
"Currently, SV High Tech fits a special need of the Chinese-speaking community worldwide," said NetUSA president James Yu. "The community's media are not usually well-versed in technology news, and often provides inaccurate or outdated information. SV High Tech seeks to change that, and provide the Chinese speakers throughout the world with the most accurate and up-to-date high technology news and information. We believe that once the readers see the quality of the publication, they will be hooked on it. In addition, SV High Tech will also become a place where people can come for solutions
to their computing needs and find or purchase that solution directly off our website."
