Pressbox (Press Release) - Gaurav Sharma, a doctor from Hamipur in Himachal Pradesh, has become a New Zealand MP. Gaurav has been elected to Parliament there as a Labor Party candidate. He has been elected a Member of Parliament for Hamilton West. Gaurav moved to New Zealand 20 years ago. Gaurav is now 35 years old. After graduating in medicine and surgery, he practiced in Nawton, Hamilton.

According to the New Zealand Election Commission, Gaurav received 14,750 votes in the general election. He lost to the National Party's Tim Masindo by 7,725 votes.


"As a local doctor, I understand people's problems every day," Sharma said on his team's official website. Both my work in healthcare and my experience with the Covid-19 challenge have helped the people of Hamilton become a voice. '
