SOMERSET COMPANY SIGNS GERMAN AGREEMENT

Added: (Tue Sep 11 2001)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Somerset-based Astec Microflow Ltd has signed a three-year agency agreement with Laborgeräte Handels Gmbh to supply specialised equipment to the German medical industry as a result of a Tailored Market Information Report (TMIR)* from Trade Partners UK.

The company commissioned the report, which included basic market information, customised local contact lists and advice on market approach. The company estimates that new business in Germany will reach £50,000 this year and £75,000 in 2002, as a result of the new agreement. “We are experienced exporters but still find Trade Partners UK’s services an invaluable tool for finding new business,” commented John Heather, sales director.

The company manufactures decontamination, filtration and containment equipment such as biological safety cabinets for the medical sector and chemical fume cabinets for the chemical laboratory sector.

The company has also commissioned a TMIR on Norway, which has helped win orders worth £10,000 and one on Switzerland in April, which helped them find a distributor and £25,000 of new orders. It is currently negotiating with a distributor in Spain as a result of another TMIR.
