ART Announces the Appointment of Mr. Eran Aharonson as the New Company President

Pressbox (Press Release) - Atlanta, USA, September 4, 2001. ART, Advanced Recognition Technologies Inc. - global leader in natural Human User Interface technologies - announced today the appointment of Mr. Eran Aharonson as the new company President.

Mr. Aharonson will serve as the President of ART, replacing Mr. Gabi Ilan. Mr. Ilan, one of the company's founders, is leaving to pursue new ventures, although he will stay on ART’s Board of Directors.

"We certainly believe that there is no one more qualified than Eran to direct ART into the future and extend the success of the company in the marketplace," said Dr. Meir Burstin, Chairman and CEO of ART. "His outstanding performance over almost a decade has proved that both his technical and his business acumen are invaluable beyond measure. More About Mr. Aharonson
Mr. Aharonson joined ART in 1992, serving for over four years as its Vice President for Research and Development, responsible for all R&D projects and staff. Subsequently he took over as Vice President Business Development, responsible for identifying new business directions and promoting new product developments. Since January 2000, Mr. Aharonson has served as ART’s COO.

Prior to joining ART, Mr. Aharonson worked for IBM's Scientific Research center in Haifa, Israel and commanded a technical unit in the Israel Defense Forces. Mr. Aharonson holds M.Sc. and B.A. (Honors) in Computer Science from the Technion Institution, Israel.
