PHARMIWEB LAUNCHES NEW SITE DESIGN IN CONJUNCTION WITH EXPANSION INTO IRELAND

Added: (Fri Nov 17 2000)

Pressbox (Press Release) - PharmiWeb, (www.pharmiweb.com) the leading B2B portal for the pharmaceutical and life science sectors, today announces the launch of its redesigned site. PharmiWeb, currently in the first trial of its Net Market with German distributor Farillon, is now providing users with a cleaner and more easily navigable site with greater exclusive content. The redesign confirms PharmiWeb’s number one site position in the UK Pharma and Life Science sectors.

Existing features on PharmiWeb.com include daily and hourly industry specific news feeds from Moreover.com and Reuters and an extensive recruitment database of over 650 vacancies within the UK and international Pharma industry. For those looking for a change in career or a new challenge PharmiWeb will automatically send the user a daily e-mail notifying them of specific vacancies in line with their skills and qualifications. Also newly introduced is a ‘poll function’ enabling PharmiWeb to carry out it’s own surveys of industry ‘hot topics’.

The most recent feature to be added to the PharmiWeb site is a learning portal. Partnering with Viviance New Education Limited - leaders in web-based training, PharmiWeb are now able to provide subscribers, whether they be large corporates or individuals, with customised online training programmes. For example a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep wanting to move into Pharmaceutical Product Marketing could get the necessary training through the PharmiWeb learning portal. Current customers include several key industry players, for example Roche, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and Glaxo Wellcome.

The redesign coincides with the launch of PharmiWeb Ireland, the extension of the successful PharmiWeb formula for the burgeoning life sciences industry in Ireland. www.PharmiWeb.com/ireland will enable companies to leverage the cost-advantages and efficiencies of PharmiWeb’s jobs database to solve the recruitment problems currently hampering a rapid growth of the industry in the Republic. Along with Irish specific content, news feeds and links, PharmiWeb Ireland brings a superior level of web-based services to the Irish industry.

PharmiWeb is privately owned and sponsored by several major industry players, including Roche, Merck Sharpe & Dohme, Glaxo Wellcome, Pfizer and Novartis, and is able to provide the industry with a wide range of Internet related services, from advertising and marketing, through to e-business and ASP-based e-procurement solutions.
