UK companies are being urged to introduce a 'flu crisis management programme for employees this winter.
Each year an estimated 150 million work days are lost due to 'flu related illnesses at a cost of £6.75 billion, leading to a dramatic fall in productivity and hundreds of missed orders.1
Now, to help companies minimise the risk of catching a chill, specialist Alliance Health has developed a 'flu remedy for big businesses which will not only help protect workforces but also improve the chances of recovery when a 'flu outbreak hits.

The programme can be tailored to suit the particular needs of any individual company. It uses a clinically tried and tested outbreak control strategy using 'flu antivirals which can protect in two ways. Firstly as 'outbreak protection' where employees simply take a course of antivirals during the outbreak and they are protected from the start and throughout the course. Secondly as 'emergency treatment' which is used to ensure immediate treatment after 'flu symptoms have started. With a simple five day course of treatment, employees are more likely to be able to continue with their normal activities.
The 'flu crisis management programme has been enthusiastically received by a wide business sector from the police force and prison service to rail-train operators and large multinationals. The emergency package costs absolutely nothing as companies will only need to invest in the programme in the event of the products being used to prevent and control an outbreak.
