Nayara Energy's partnership with the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadi Kendra initiative

Pressbox (Press Release) - Reiterating its commitment of improving public health in Gujarat, Nayara Energy inaugurates Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra at its Essar Petrol Pump outlet in Chhota Udepur which aims to provide affordable healthcare products to a population of more than 50,000
This is a first of its kind collaboration between Nayara Energy and the flagship program of Government of India that sets a new benchmark in creating shared value.
The Aushadhi Kendra inaugurated at the Nayara Energy’s Essar Petrol Pump, Naswadi Petroleum will provide GMP certified generic drugs at subsidized prices to a population of more than 50,000 from the nearby areas. It is estimated that more than two million people in India slip back below the poverty line due to the high cost of medicines.
Nayara Energy operates more than 5400 retail outlets spread across different regions in India and intends to build this program further to make affordable healthcare available to the masses.
Nayara Energy is a new-age downstream company of international scale with strong presence across the hydrocarbon value chain from refining to retail.
In August 2017, the company was acquired by international investors, Rosneft and an investment consortium comprising of global commodity trading firm, Trafigura and UCP Investment Group. The company owns and operates India’s second largest single site refinery at Vadinar, Gujarat with a current capacity of 20MMTPA. The refinery is one of the world’s most modern and complex refineries with a complexity of 11.8, which is amongst the highest globally.
