Tony Hawk’s new Canadian cannabis partnership

Pressbox (Press Release) - Legendary professional skateboarder Tony Hawk has joined a list of celebrities who are getting involved in the cannabis sector. Hawks well known company House of Hawk LLC has recently announced their partnership agreement with 1933 Industries, a Chilliwack based licensed cannabis producer. The two companies have come together to create a new subsidiary “Infused MFG” that plans to launch several co-branded CBD wellness products over the course of the next two years. Their initial plan is to target North America and Canada.
Cannabidiol or CBD products are currently rapidly gaining popularity in both the medicinal and recreational market place, as an alternative from of pain killer. Working with 19333, Hawk plans to create a line of hemp products named Hemp X which will target the action sports market, where physical injuries are almost impossible to avoid. Hawk said in a press release on Monday that he understands the pain and suffering that a lot of professional athletes go through, and he himself has used CBD in the past to cope with injuries he has sustained. Hawk continued to say “We're excited to be a part of this new movement that is becoming more recognized as a healthy alternative to recovering from the aches and pains that we regularly incur in the action sports world,” Hawk wrote in the news release. “We couldn't be happier to join forces with Canna Hemp, an established and trusted partner with an expertise in this market."
The partnership itself, is going to utilize Hawk’s iconic Birdhouse skateboard brand, which has become well known throughout the sporting world. Birdhouse team members Clive Dixon, David Loy, Ben Raybourn, and Clint walker will be assisting heavily with supporting the company’s new found partnership via their social media channels. Hawk is not the first celebrity to become a cannabis investor. Big names including Snoop Dogg, Whoopi Goldberg, Seth Rogan, Willie Nelson, and Martha Stewart have already shown their support for the cannabis industry, and are advocates for how CBD can change lives.
