LONDON, 10 October 2001 – Lawson Software has announced the release of Lawson PSA and Lawson SA, comprehensive solution suites for professional services automation and internal services automation. The solutions are scheduled for general availability by 30 November 2001.
Designed by professional services and internal services experts, Lawson PSA and SA provide a comprehensive solution that integrates opportunity, project and resource management, as well as time and expense, billing/chargeback, analytics and reporting. Both solutions are fully web-based, and can be implemented quickly and easily for a rapid return on investment. GartnerGroup recently positioned the solution in the “Visionaries” section of its Magic Quadrant for applications enabling project and resource management and collaboration.

The Lawson PSA solution helps professional services organisations and divisions to better manage their business by providing greater visibility to stakeholders, supply and demand, and key performance indicators (KPIs). It improves an organisation’s ability to make decisions regarding best prospects, customers and employees, and the most profitable projects and customers. The solution provides on-line, real-time data that matches billable resources to customer opportunities, improving customer satisfaction and employee retention. With role-based visibility to KPIs such as work backlog and revenue per employee, Lawson PSA gives managers the information they need to make better decisions.

The solution provides templates for inbound work requests, bids and project plans based on industry best practices. In addition, Lawson SA provides a scorecard report to measure an organisation’s KPIs for improved internal reporting and accountability. It also improves financial return on investment by improving financial processes, improving resource utilisation and maximising profits. It provides faster, more accurate chargebacks and can track and report by cost centre, employee or internal customer. Lawson SA also provides easy and flexible Statement of Position (SOP) 98-2 capitalisation compliance by providing detailed project or task level financial reporting.
