OFFICES IN LONDON AND NEW YORK
San Francisco/London/New York – Iris Financial, a leading provider of tailored trading solutions across all asset classes, has appointed Steve Husk as global senior executive. Husk joins from Infinity Financial Technology, where he was senior vice president, to extend Iris’s excellent record in delivering tailored trading solutions on a global scale. Husk will be based in the new Iris London offices.
Husk comments: “Today Iris counts 75 per cent of the global top 20 financial institutions in its customer base. This achievement results from expertise in building quality solutions and providing excellent consulting. The opportunity now is to build on this exceptional base and to take the benefits of Iris technology to trading rooms globally.”
Prior to Iris, Husk held senior positions at Infinity Financial Technology, Oracle and Sybase, covering UK and Europe. Key successes for Husk include initiating the European operation for Infinity Financial Technology, which grew to generate over 60 per cent of Infinity’s worldwide revenues ($40m).
Husk’s appointment is part of a focus on reinforcing and growing Iris’ global presence. As part of this development Iris has also appointed three experienced financial software executives to senior positions and established two new offices, one in London and one in New York.
Supporting Husk in London are:
· Kevin Galliers, who joins from SunGard Trading and Risk Systems. Galliers has been appointed as vice president for global sales and marketing and will be responsible for recruiting a sales team; growing distribution channels to incorporate local partnerships; and developing business across global markets. In addition to his experience gained from senior management positions at SunGard, Infinity Financial Technology and ACT Business Systems, Galliers brings with him extensive systems experience as a programmer, analyst and project manager in the finance and decision support market.
· Patrick Burdett, joins from Anderson Consulting, now Accenture. Burdett has been appointed as global practice director and will be responsible for leading the professional services division. Burdett manages a team of 40 consultants.
Other recent appointments include John Bradbury, who joins from Principia Partners LLC, as the global marketing director. Bradbury will work in the New York office and will be responsible for marketing communications and providing a local knowledge base of the US markets.
Jeremy Evnine, founder of Iris comments “This is an important milestone for Iris. Our history of using component architecture to deliver rapidly developed and customised solutions to the world’s largest banks; coupled with this new experienced senior executive team, will allow for a new phase of growth for Iris. The opening of new offices means we can offer high quality local support to our clients. I am confident that we will be the industry leader in 12 – 18 months.”
