Pressbox (Press Release) -
Tim Lovejoy, the Writer, Producer and Presenter of Soccer AM, Sky Sports’ live Saturday morning football show, and presenter of radio show Studio 68 on XFM has attracted cult status with his laid back attitude and sense of humour. Who else could get Mani from Primal Scream to appear as a soccer pundit or get mate Noel Gallagher popping in for a chat. Tim is currently available for interviews:
Tim Lovejoy landed his first job in TV working on MTV AT THE MOVIES. He then moved to Channel 4 as Producer on THE BIG BREAKFAST before going to Sky Sports to write, produce and present SOCCER AM.
A Chelsea supporter since aged three, Tim joined SOCCER AM for the second series. Changing the show’s format from a phone-in program to four hours of live football chat, games and humour, the ratings for the show (soon to start it’s fourth series) have since risen by 50%. With football guests including Robbie Fowler, Frank Lebeouf and Vinnie Jones alongside the likes of Chris Evans, Damon Albarn and Noel Gallagher, SOCCER AM has been described by The Stage as “funnier and fresher than Fantasy Football League.”
During the week, Tim Lovejoy is the top rated presenter of XFM’s early evening show Studio 68 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6pm-8pm), a blend of alternative music, live sessions and celebrity guests, the show is the first radio show of its kind to broadcast simultaneously live on the net at www.xfm.co.uk.
“Soccer AM is the only show that has made me feel like buying into satellite TV. It’s the sort of free-form but informed show that will be cult today, huge tomorrow... Just watch this show go.”
