Keemo Rahman, from modern dancer to music maker. It’s all about music!

Pressbox (Press Release) - Born as Abdul Hakim Bin Abdul Rahman, in Kuching City, Sarawak (State in Malaysia) in Borneo Island. This Malaysia born talent started his music passion as a modern dancer and choreographer in the 1990's. Keemo Rahman or simply Keemo, gained his experience in remixing music for his dance troupes and as being a part-time DJ at local music clubs in Kuching, Sarawak. Dare to experiment with various types of music, Keemo Rahman believes that music is one way to express the feelings and the answer to get rid of boredom and anxiousness as he explained.

His creation was massively influenced by French Electronica producer, Mirwais Ahmadzai and few British producers William Orbits, Calvin Harris and few others. Keemo Rahman is a huge fan of 90's house dance music and eastern sounds. Some of his works on Quarantune are noticeably packed with 90's house beats with some tracks are mixed with Arabian/Indian musical tune. Some might call his works, bizarre. Keemo Rahman continue to explore the uniqueness of music and discover the new sounds.
Keemo Rahman has paved and kicked off his music passion especially dance music at his local hometown, Kuching Sarawak and being a trend setter and influenced to many aerobic instructors to listen to his remix and use it for the fitness class.

His debut called Quarantune, which heavily experimental music album contains 13 instrumental dance-oriented tracks which includes the 1st and 2nd released of Viroriental, followed by major hit and trending in Joox called Delicious Borneo. Talking about Quarantune, Keemo Rahman recalls of being anxiety at the beginning of the lockdown period. Being isolated has turn something creative for him, as he mentioned.

And currently, Keemo Rahman is collecting new materials for his next release. Stay tune for dance music lover!
