Pressbox (Press Release) - The coronavirus crises continue to expand across the globe. Everyone is looking out for different ways to put a halt on its spread. The aviation industry is also cautious about its effect; thus, most of the airlines are taking precautions to restrict the spread of coronavirus during air travel. Some airlines are renouncing fees for all flights, while others are making slight changes in their refund policies. Airlines are helping passengers to change their flight plans due to the spread of coronavirus for providing peace of mind to passengers while making a reservation for future travel.

The change fee has been applied to some selected tickets, and they are offering flexible cancellation policies. Some of the major airlines that are making changes to current policies of cancellation and refund to stem the growth of the ongoing COVID -19 are mentioned below.

Delta Airlines

Delta has offered a blanket waiver on all international and domestic tickets bought from 1st March 2020 to 31st March 2020. This allows passengers to make changes free of cost once only. Tickets issued on or before 9th March 2020 are now eligible for free travel waivers. Rescheduled travel must start no later than 31st December 2020.

Navigate to the "My Trips" on the official site of the airline to make changes to your Delta Airlines reservations http://onlineairlinesbooking.com/delta-airlines-booking/. At first, you may see a change fee, but it will disappear after selecting the new travel dates. Any difference in the fare price may apply. If you are cancelling your reservation, then the value of your ticket will be refunded in the form of a credit to the future Delta flight within one year from the initial date of purchase. If you want to know about SkyMiles award tickets, then reach out to the airline representative for immediate guidance.

JetBlue

Passengers who have made reservations between 6th March 2020 and 31st March 2020 are allowed to cancel or change their reservation free of charge. This is applicable to the travel made through 8th September 2020. Passengers who have booked tickets prior to 27th February 2020 and their departures are commenced through 30th April 2020 are now included in the fee waiver program of JetBlue.

The value of the cancelled ticket will be credited towards the passenger's Travel Bank of JetBlue Airlines. These credits are valid for one year. The refund is now applied to all the fares, including but not restricted to Blue Basic Fares and JetBlue Vacation Package. Only one rebooking is allowed with the airline
