Micajah Corporation Spins Off Its bigWebDesk Product Division and Forms New Entity bigWebDesk, Inc.

ATLANTA, March 6, 2001 – micajah Corporation, a leading edge web applications developer and technologies firm today announced the spin off its bigWebDesk product division and subsequent formation of a new entity. The name of the new corporation is bigWebDesk, Inc. Jon Vickers, Chairman and CTO of micajah Corporation made the announcement.

bigWebDesk, Inc. provides the premier web-based solution for education to corporate clients helpdesk and problem tracking needs. Its customizable interface and back end systems allows for efficient and cost effective management of local and remote helpdesk staff and allocation of resources. Furthermore, provides end-users, through the bigWebDesk “knowledge base” system, the ability to submit, track and efficiently find solutions to their IT, service requests and product problems. As a result of its flexible, fully scalable architecture, and 100% web base design, bigWebDesk quickly and easily adapts to any organizations environment and to virtually any problem or product, regardless of the industry.

“Our goal was to develop a cost effective, simple to use, web-based, helpdesk system which provided K-12 school systems to Fortune 100 companies with the ability to increase the effectiveness of communication, management of their resources, and most importantly decrease time and costs,” said Vickers. “We achieved this with bigWebDesk.”

“Due to the tremendous success of our bigWebDesk system, since its launch in March 2000, we decided to spin it off as a separate operating company and staff it with its own management, resources and focus”, said Vickers. “During the last 10 months, the business development, support and sales surrounding bigWebDesk began to deter micajah management from its core business of a web based applications development and technologies firm, “ added Vickers. “As a result of our ability to develop, launch and support a product within a 10 month period and achieve profitability, it became apparent that bigWebDesk truly is a business in and of itself”.

bigWebDesk, Inc. has established a long term operating agreement with its parent company micajah Corporation to provide ongoing hosting, maintenance, technical support and new release developments of the bigWebDesk system. The two companies will reside in separate offices, but in the same building at its downtown Atlanta location.
