Peter Merrett To Speak At The EEMUA Inspection Seminar, Aberdeen

DIRECTOR of Merrett Survey, Peter Merrett, has been invited to speak at the Inspection Seminar: Non–conventional Techniques being held in Aberdeen on 28th September 2023.
Merrett’s presentation will focus on ‘laser scanning for the assessment of damage, deformation and movement monitoring’, exploring the latest laser scanning techniques that are applied within surveying. His speech will also explore other new and innovative application methods, explaining how laser scanning is used to survey a structure on a macro scale, which leads to being able to assess and monitor any signs of deformation over a duration of time.
Applying modern examples across multiple industry sectors, Peter will discuss the significance of laser scanning within the surveying industry and its importance in the efficiency and speed of surveys.
Commenting on the upcoming event, Peter mentions that he is “tremendously excited to present (his) seminar, which will showcase the functionalities of laser scanning and how integral it is within each industry”.
Merrett Survey have utilised both point cloud laser scanning and BIM technologies for both public and private sectors, including aerial drone and ground based surveying methods.
