Pressbox (Press Release) - Cactus Worldwide today announced that face-to-face to language classes run by the company will return to Brighton following a nearly three year absence. The Sussex based brand, which has been running foreign language courses for over 26 years, temporarily closed their Brighton based school during the COVID-19 pandemic. Following an increase in requests and popularity of their online courses, Cactus have announced the reopening of courses in the city in time for the start of the next term.

Fay Drewry, Academic Specialist for Cactus spoke about the announcement. “We are so happy to be able to offer our students in Brighton the opportunity to study in-person again.” She added, “We were so sad to have to temporarily stop classes in the city during the pandemic. But we have received feedback from students who had moved to online learning, and with an increase in a variety of languages coming through, we think this is the perfect time for us to reopen in the city.”

As well as offering evening courses in languages such as French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese, Cactus are also launching courses in Swedish and Korean at the school.

“Through speaking to our students and global trends, we have seen an increase in enquiries for Swedish and Korean classes,” says Myungsuk Lee, Operations Manager. “We believe that is important to adapt and evolve with the needs of our students. This was a big part of moving our operations entirely online during the pandemic and again now with offering additional languages in our face-to-face locations.”

The school is located in the St Giles International building in city centre, adjacent to Victoria Gardens. The school is easily accessible from every area of the city and is only a short walk from the mainline train station.

Cactus currently offers courses in over 20 languages online and is in the process of re-opening a number of schools across the country. Students can book courses online for both face-to-face and online lessons as well as testing their current level of skill before signing up to a course.
