MIGRA-CAP ‘HEADS OUT’ TO THE NATION’S MIGRAINE SUFFERER

A Migraine sufferer who developed his own medication free solution to relieve his pain has just secured his first major contract with a leading pharmaceutical wholesaler – UniChem.

Hywel Edwards from Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, a Migraine sufferer since the age of 4, said: “I have tried almost all types of pain relieving medication and products but I was at a loss as to how I could relieve the excruciating pain that Migraines caused. I did find that keeping my head cool was effective, however there were no products that lasted for any length of time or were comfortable to apply. So I began developing Migra-Cap.”

After three years of development Hywel introduced Migra-Cap to the market available through mail order. Now it will be available through any pharmacy in the high street, nationwide. Simply quote PIP Code 2988343.

Published results by the Migraine Action Association UK acknowledge that Migra-Cap has proven to be a success with their members that took part in the trials, showing an 81% success rate.

Hywel, Managing Director of Migra-Cap International said “It is a great triumph for me personally and my company to have secured the status as a registered supplier with UniChem. They are a well established and respected leading pharmaceutical wholesaler. The first order, hopefully first of many, was delivered on 20th October to one of their central warehouses. We have a marketing campaign planned to the high street pharmacies and can offer them samples and supporting literature to promote the product”.

Made from lycra, Migra-Cap has cold therapy gel sachets sewn within strategically placed to target all the areas of the head affected during a Migraine, ensuring that a constant and concerted relief is applied. The unique design also protects the eyes from the light.

A Migraine attack can last from anything of several hours duration to several days. With over six million sufferers in the UK alone, Migraine has a substantial impact on both personal and working life. Figures show that 1 in 10 people suffer with Migraine of which nearly 70 % are women. In business Migraines account for approximately 57 million working days of absenteeism, costing the economy almost £32 billion when added to medical expenses.

According to the company the use of this highly effective and value for money product is not confined to Migraine sufferers, it is also suitable for tension, stress or sinus headache sufferers, head injuries where cold therapy is required, effective for women in pregnancy and has shown to be of relief for MS and Polio sufferers.
