Taipei, Taiwan, August 2, 2003 -- Today companies often purchase a notebook computer, usually in addition to an existing desktop computer, for each sales representative so that she can do field presentations on-site the customer's meeting room. IAdea's innovative iFlash technology makes this US$2000-per-person procurement no longer necessary.
The IAdea iFlash technology utilizes the IA205 Still Image Processor. The single-chip solution encloses a multi-resolution image decompressor, a video image scalar, SDRAM controller, flash memory storage controller, IR remote controller and an internal TV encoder for connecting to the projector.
Devices built using the IAdea iFlash technology weigh less than 0.5 lbs and run on AA-size batteries. It is designed to connect to a projector and includes a remote control that operates the device from up to 30 feet away. Operating the device is simple, wireless, burden free, especially for the unsophisticated computer user. The finished product sells for under US$199, just one-tenth the cost of a notebook computer.
With the accompanying software, the user can load any existing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and even Adobe PDF files into the IAdea iFlash-powered device. She can then bring the device to a meeting, plug it into the projector and start the presentations in 5 seconds.
"The IAdea iFlash technology will revolutionize the meeting room. You will not see a notebook computer where IAdea iFlash is present," says IAdea's President and CEO John C. Wang.
Products designed using the IAdea iFlash technology will be on show at the "IFA - Internationale Funkausstellung" exhibition from August 29 thru September 03, 2003, Messe Berlin, Berlin, Germany.
IAdea iFlash is available for ODL licensing to manufacturers for mass production and immediate profitability.
