Costs Reduced by Millions with Get Real Systems

York – 14th December, 2000 – Get Real Systems, specialists in e-Procurement and the inbound supply chain, today announces that the NSPCC has selected its PROACTIS solution to streamline internal purchasing and payment procedures across the country. The procurement system will be implemented at the National Centre in London and eventually in approx 200 further NSPCC locations in England and Wales. It is expected to generate substantial cost savings of up to a couple of million pounds. PROACTIS will also enable the NSPCC to automate the way it works with both new and existing suppliers over the Internet using XML (extensible mark-up language) technology.

“The ability to control expenditure is essential to the NSPCC and e-Procurement is seen as a way of not only controlling and monitoring expenditure, but also reducing it significantly,” comments Belinda Turner, NSPCC’s Purchasing Manager. “Being a large charity we have demanding functional requirements, which include being able to integrate with our existing financial systems, work with our existing supplier base and provide comprehensive management reports.”

Steve Kane, Director with Get Real Systems says: “This project is a great testament to the flexibility and strength of Get Real System’s offerings. However, the most pleasing thing about working with the NSPCC is knowing that every penny saved through the implementation of PROACTIS will go back into running child protection campaigns.”

The project is an exciting one for Get Real Systems, who recently added high street retailer Richer Sounds PLC and the world’s largest printing group, Polestar PLC, to their customer list.
