Weston Wheels is proud to confirm it is to hold its annual modified car event on the town’s former airfield on the 28th August 2005. Open from Midday till Midnight.
Now in its fifth year Weston Wheels, which sees an average of 25’000 attendees per year, returns in a larger format allowing even more of the country’s modified motors to attend and show off their vehicles in August.
Top motoring personality Richard Hammond will be presenting throughout the day and one lucky car owner will win £2000 cash for the Best overall competition car on the day. All competitions are advance entry only.
The event will kick off at Midday with a huge fashion show presented by Contagious Club Wear of Weston and will bring the best in street-wear, club-wear and car-wear to the cat walk in the Big Top.
The Paul Swift professional stunt show will be entertaining the crowds across the day in the “live” action arena with a breathtaking performance of precision and exciting driving.
Performing in a selection of brand new motors, the team will thrill the crowds with sideways parking (as seen on Guinness World Records) a near inch-perfect dance routine and the awesome feat of 2wheel driving and much, much more.
On display will be the best modified cars from around the country from local and national car clubs some travelling from as far away as Scotland to take part in the event.
The show will be bringing the largest ever presence of local, national and international traders to the South West, selling every kind of accessory you could ever want for your car from a few extra speakers and lights, up to full body kits, wheels, resprays, radar detectors, in car DVD players, security and satellite navigation products. Whatever your motoring needs Weston Wheels has a trader who can accommodate your request from off the shelf purchases to special one-off custom designs and builds.
Music again will form a large part of the event with top DJs playing all weekend and new for 2005, those who are camping over will be able to party on-site on the Saturday evening with a huge party hosted by Weston Wheels and Contagious Clubwear and Q-bic with Spin Central. A host of local and national DJs will be lining up to kick the event off in style.
Organiser Tristan Bacon said “It’s fantastic to be back in Weston for our fifth event and this year’s line up is the biggest and best yet.
With the inclusion of the professional stunt show, three music venues, a larger trade area and bigger fun fair and with free tickets on offer for children the event will provide something for all the family throughout the day.”

Weston Wheels is a fully licensed event and was born from the large illegal gatherings which took place in and around the town several years ago.
We were the UK’s first legal cruise, and have developed the event into the show it is today.
We do not condone the illegal gathering of modified cars in great numbers on property that they have not had prior permission to use for this activity.
We are working closely with the Avon and Somerset Constabulary, North Somerset Council and other organisations to make sure a sensitive issue such as this is correctly organised providing a safe and legal event that meets everyone’s needs.
