CBOSS wins significant deal with Saudi Arabian operator

Moscow, 23 November 2004

CBOSS Association, a leading provider of convergent billing and business operation support systems, has signed a contract with the Saudi Arabian Public Telecommunications Company (PTC). Under the terms of the contract, CBOSS will supply a package of 13 CBOSS products, including billing, analysis and Internet systems to the operator.

PTC is one of the three key players in the Saudi Arabian telecom market. The company has a license to operate and provide IDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network) services throughout Saudi Arabia.

According to the signed agreement, CBOSS will deliver 13 products and provide extensive technical support, consulting services and personnel training. Moreover, as part of the cooperation, CBOSS will later enhance the deployed systems with a number of upgraded features.

”The fact that CBOSS solutions have been successfully deployed in IDEN networks by XPress in Jordan significantly contributed to the choice of this major Saudi Arabian operator”, says Mr Andrey Morozov, President of CBOSS Association.

All CBOSS systems included in the package support IDEN, a mobile standard used by PTC. The standard enables subscribers to use the Push-to-Talk functionality to communicate with each other, and gives a number of advantages that are of specific importance to the Saudi Arabian market, for example high customizability. All system interfaces are translated to Arabic.

The core component of the offered package is CBOSS (Convergent Business Operation Support System), including CBOSSсashDesk that offers an option for cash desk operation with two automated interfaces to network infrastructure, CBOSSmdCDR (Automatic CDR Collection System), CBOSSmdDrive (External Resources Management System) and CBOSSacd (Automatic Call Distribution System) that automates call processing for customer care services.

The Internet systems comprise CBOSSacr (Automatic Cash Register) that allows the user to make payments via Internet, CBOSSics (Internet Customer Service System) and CBOSSisp (Internet Sales Point System).

Other solutions to be installed in the Saudi Arabian operator’s networks are CBOSSics-corporate (Internet Customer Service System for corporate clients), CBOSSacc (Automatic Customer Care) and business intelligence systems: CBOSSdss (Decision Support System) and CBOSSudr (User Defined Report System).

Saudi Arabia is the 22nd country, where CBOSS solutions will be deployed to the benefit of millions of telecom subscribers.
