Come September students head back to school and start looking for work in their areas. Many students seek work in the service sector because of the flexible hours they allow which generally work well with students busy and unpredictable schedules. As well, service industry jobs, often are the highest paying for the least amount of work required. It is not uncommon for bartenders to work two nights per week and have an extra $500 in spending money. The draw towards this occupation has many soon to be bartenders scrambling to find affordable ways to get their qualification. After being State or provincially licensed for a small fee, many students look to bartending schools for their formal bartending education which teaches mixology, how to set up a bar, bartending rules and regulations, and how to maximize tips. Online schools such as Next Generation bartending are seeing a large influx of students in September. Nexgen bartending has braced for this influx by automating their marking process. Before September Nexgen use to manually grade the tests and mail students their certification. Nexgen has now fully automated the process by implementing a computerized script which marks the tests for them. This means that students will no longer have to wait 24 hours for their results and employees and Nexgen no longer have to mark tests. With some freed up time on their hands Nexgen employees are planning an international expansion during the fall of 2004!
