UK COMPANY WINS OVERSEAS BUSINESS THROUGH TRANSLATION SERVICE

Added : ( Thu Nov 27 2003 )

A Barnsley based company is winning overseas contracts by literally talking the same language as its international customers. InfoQuest Customer Relationship Management Ltd produces bespoke business-to-business customer satisfaction surveys, allowing companies to monitor their performance with clients and to improve and enhance their services.

InfoQuest's international success is the result of an ongoing partnership with the translation services offered by UK Trade & Investment, the government body dedicated to providing UK companies with global expertise on international trade and investment. The company has recently gained more direct overseas business based on their language-friendly services.

Managing director, John Coldwell, said: "I immediately turned to UK Trade & Investment to assist in compiling sample surveys in Italian, Dutch and French. Suffice it to say the relatively small outlay for the translations generated €50,000 of business from the European subsidiaries. Just knowing this excellent service is here at hand, gives my company the confidence to venture anywhere in the world and win business.

The company currently works with the three largest suppliers of mailroom equipment in the world. One of these, Paris based Ascom Hasler, has recently invited InfoQuest to give a presentation to its European subsidiaries based in Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland.
