London, 15 November 2000 ¡V Christmas in the Year 2000 is also known as ¡§e-Christmas¡¨. Consumers no longer have to shop in the cold while looking for Christmas gifts. Sweatband.com today announced the launch of their new Christmas department to meet the demand of consumers shopping online this Christmas by providing a wider choice of sporting equipment for the sports enthusiasts.

In the new department, consumers will be introduced to a new range of sporting goods such as basketball, badminton, netball, fun and games including snooker, football table, croquet and table tennis.

To streamline Christmas gifts hunting, Sweatband.com has also introduced a simple listing of price bands (eg. £10-£20, £21-£50; £51-£100, over £101, etc) as well as listings by sport to help shoppers find what they are looking for this Christmas, with delivery in 3 days.

eMarketer, the internet research company, commented that globally, consumers this year will spend £9.6 billion online during this year¡¦s fourth quarter holiday season, a 71 percent increase from last year holiday total of £6.3billion.
