Wireless Web Innovators Rally Round Mercury Interactive

Seven New Wireless Alliance Members Will Work with Mercury Interactive's
Testing and Monitoring Solutions to Improve Performance and Reliability of
Wireless Web Applications

Camberley, UK - 29th January, 2001 - Strengthening its commitment to help
companies manage and improve the performance of wireless Web applications,
Mercury Interactive Corp. (Nasdaq: MERQ) has announced seven new members to
its Wireless Applications and Technology Alliance. These new alliance
members join the efforts of Nokia and OpenWave.com, formerly known as
Phone.com, to create custom wireless device and application testing and
monitoring solutions, using Mercury Interactive in-house to test and monitor
applications against their complex wireless Web infrastructure.

Wireless device manufacturers, infrastructure companies, application
vendors, and corporations with wireless sites can use Mercury Interactive
testing and monitoring solutions before and after deployment to ensure the
performance, scalability and reliability necessary for a positive end-user
experience.

These new Wireless Application and Technology Alliance members offer a range
of wireless infrastructure, content and transaction solutions, and include
724 Solutions Inc., AirFlash, Geoworks Corp., Infinite.com, Neomar, Inc.,
TANTAU Software, Inc., and ViaFone.

Mercury Interactive offers support for wireless Web applications based on
the wireless application protocol (WAP), and i-mode, the wireless protocol
developed by NTT DoCoMo, Inc., in its market-leading LoadRunner® load
testing software and the ActiveTestT hosted load testing e-service. WAP and
i-mode support is also available in the company's real-time performance
monitoring software, Topaz®, and monitoring e-service, ActiveWatch . In
addition, the company's solutions have custom support for testing and
monitoring applications for Nokia, Ericsson and OpenWave.com microbrowsers.
