Web-delivered software training, including FREE iMovie 2 series.

Added: (Sat Sep 30 2000)

Pressbox (Press Release) - MediaSpinners, LLC, today introduced the Atomic Learning Library (http://www.atomiclearning.com), a subscription-based online software training magazine and tutorial archive for K-12 schools, homes, and businesses. The training library is delivered via large-format QuickTime screen movies which are expertly narrated and begin playing almost instantly via the web, even over a 56k modem connection. Until October 1, 2000, all content is available for free demo, including the soon-to-be subscription library content. An always-free Apple iMovie 2 software training series is also available.

With nearly 100 videos being added each month, hundreds of atom-sized tutorials are already available for: Microsoft's Word, Excel, PowerPoint and FrontPage; Apple's iMovie 2 and Appleworks; Macromedia's Fireworks and Dreamweaver; plus many other applications.

"People are incredibly busy," says Jim Norwood, CEO of MediaSpinners. "Teachers are in front of students for perhaps six hours each day or more. Home users have jobs and lives to live. Businesses are focused on the job at hand. When does anyone have time to learn how to effectively use the computer software they depend upon?"

The answer? Breaking learning down into its most basic parts: 30-second to 3-minute video tutorials accessible over the Internet; and delivering training anytime, anywhere, right when needed. Each tutorial answers a basic user question or demonstrates a software concept. These are the "atoms" of Atomic Learning.

According to Norwood, "If you've got five minutes, you can access the library, have a nagging question answered, and be back working in a flash. If you've got longer, you can view entire sequences where we've tied together multiple atoms of training into more substantial segments. It's like having your own personal trainer on call."

The Atomic Learning Library is stuffed full of hundreds of 30-second to 3-minute training tutorials that focus on the applications that real people use every day . . . and the library continues to grow by at least 100 tutorials each month.

To date, the library concentrates most on cross-platform applications (those which have nearly identical Windows and MacOS versions), but also has quite a few OS-specific application tutorials, including a FREE iMovie 2 training series.

The library is located at http://www.atomiclearning.com and contains FREE iMovie 2 training, FREE demo tutorials, and full subscription information for individuals, schools, home schools, and businesses.
