WHY WAIT FOR WHISTLER, WHEN OFF-LINE TESTING CAN ENSURE EASY MIGRATION AND
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE NOW!?

Says ImagoQA @ Windows 2000 - Stand 486
Olympia - November 21 - 23

ImagoQA, the UK's leading software testing consultancy, is launching its new
migration testing and risk management service to help companies make an easy
transition from Office 97, Windows 95/98 and NT to Office 2000, Windows 2000
and Whistler when it arrives.

"Everyone agrees that migration is, ultimately, inevitable," says Keith
Trotter, CEO of ImagoQA. "Yet the vast majority of corporate Windows users
have not even set a date for the transition - despite the fact that W2K
itself has already proved to be more stable and have less bugs than any of
its predecessors."

Based on its work for a dozen early W2K adopters - most of them banks and
financial institutions - ImagoQA believes it has unearthed all the principal
migration problems. Most of these occur when migrating custom applications,
key directories, DLL files and external feeds such as Reuters, Bloomberg and
Datastream.

"We have found that infrastructure server mappings are often different
between NT and W2K and when DLLs (Dynamic Link Libraries) are unregistered
in W2K, many components for custom applications are therefore missing for
dependent applications," Keith Trotter continued.

"W2K is the first serious contender to Unix/Linux in both the LAN server and
Web server space. ISS Version 5.0 has many superior features, including an
Active Directory which greatly simplifies the management of enterprise and
e-Business networks.

"And once the migration problems are overcome, W2K promises to be more cost
effective, easier to implement and easier to maintain than either Unix or
Linux," Keith Trotter concluded.

To overcome these W2K migration problems ImagoQA has developed its own test
rig and set of procedures, using the latest automated testing tools, for
regression testing and performance measurement: both before and after W2K
goes live.

And when W2K is implemented on Web servers, ImagoQA offers its new
performance testing and monitoring services: WebSite WorkOut, for remotely
stress testing new or changed Web sites, and WebSite WatchOut, for
monitoring a site's performance over time or whenever changes are
implemented.
