Pressbox (Press Release) - RYUJINX is an open-source Nintendo Switch emulator created by developer gdkchan. More than 1,000 games can be booted up past any sort of loading menus, title screens, or loading screens; only around 500 are actually make it into gameplay in any sort of capability, which is still a very good amount of playable games available for you to play (As long as you have the game cartridge or a Nintendo Switch console with the game). RYUJINX is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. There is, unfortunately, a lack of any sort of multiplayer capabilities; support for in-game cutscenes has recently been implemented. This means that in-game video can now be watched, this was a feature that was previously missing. Audio is not currently fully implemented; it is currently only partially supported, meaning only some games have complete audio; some may have partial audio, while some don't have audio at all. Most controllers that can be used for video gaming are supported, but specifics depend on the operating system being used. For example, one controller may work on Linux or Windows, but that same controller might not work on macOS or vice versa. To run the emulator, at least 8 gigabytes of RAM are recommended; anything less and the games will most likely run badly.
