FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - NOVEMBER 16, 2017
Everest Home Inspectors, LLC - a home inspection company serving the Greater Minneapolis Area, is InterNACHI certified. This means that Everest Home Inspectors, LLC is held to a much higher standard than an average, non-certified home inspector.
Home inspectors in Minneapolis, MN are not required to maintain any certifications. In the past this has led to unqualified inspectors performing "quick and dirty' inspections at an extreme discount. When an inspector chooses to become InterNACHI certified, it indicates that they are a tier above the average home inspector.
Becoming InterNACHI certified is not an easy process. The inspector must complete the follow criteria to earn certification:
**Pass the Online Inspector Examination
**Complete the Code of Ethics Course (online and free for members).
**Complete the Standards of Practice Course (online and free for members).
**Write and submit four mock (or simulated) inspection reports to InterNACHI.
**Sign an affidavit.
Once a home inspector achieves certification, they are required to pass exams and complete training to maintain their certification. Every year an inspector must:
**Substantially adhere to the InterNACHI Standards of Practice or the standard required by law in their jurisdiction;
**Abide by the InterNACHI Code of Ethics;
**Complete 24 hours of continuing education, according to InterNACHI's Continuing Education Policy;
**Maintain an Online Continuing Education Log; and
**Every three years, pass the free InterNACHI Online Inspector Examination with a score of 80% or better.
"Maintaining certification is not an easy task", says Andy Geckler, owner of Everest Home Inspector. "It's important that our clients feel comfortable with us and know that we are in their corner ever step of the way."
Because of the lack of regulations surrounding home inspectors in Minnesota, InterNACHI Certified inspectors are highly sought after for their qualifications. "It's like the difference between a recreational pilot vs an airline pilot. The recreational pilot might be good, but you don't want them at the helm of a big, expensive jetliner. The same holds true for home inspections. You're about to invest in an expensive piece of property and you want to be sure that you've got qualified eyes checking it out on your behalf", said James Moore, a local home buyer.
Everest Home Inspectors, LLC looks forward to serving the Greater Minneapolis Area for the years to come.
