Untold story of AIMEP

Pressbox (Press Release) - Untold story of the All-India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) launched by Ms. Nowhera Shaikh did capture its share of the limelight and had its negative impact too. The party’s launch did attract many people; especially women followers who accepted party membership because of its service motto towards the society. During the Karnataka Assembly elections in 2018; party members from AIMEP were given tickets for standing in elections from different constituencies in the state.

Told them initially to spend their amount on election campaigns with the promise of getting it back after the elections. But unfortunately, it did not happen. One of the members, Heena Kouser, did file a complaint at the nearby police station; informing on the full debt she is in and has asked police to take action against Ms. Shaikh. She did make a statement that many of her colleagues are staying at the AIMEP office for almost a month.

Untold story of Nowhera so far
Estimated that around 20 AIMEP candidates stayed at the office at the Central Bengaluru office and demanded compensation. Told them to sign agreements and blank cheques to remain committed to the party and not shift loyalty. Some of them even informed they were mishandled when asked for an amount they had spent on elections. But these stories do have a different angle which the party conveyed.

As the spokesperson of AIMEP, Siraj Ahmed Jafari; he claimed that these party workers were protesting in the name of blackmail and misguided; their potentialities by contesting in their respective constituency. The protestors were unruly and attacked the staff of the party and filed false complaints against them. Due to that, they are in hiding due to the fear of attacks. gave party tickets to them as they wanted to be different from other parties without following detailed eligibility steps.
