Pressbox (Press Release) -
Toronto native Denny Hall, 63, over 40 years, couldn't find a music company interested in him so he had to learn a dozen jobs to do it all, himself — a true "solo artist".

The album of 8 songs covers a wide array of genres — from a toe-tapper to the emotional to the funny to the spiritual — and showcases his strong songwriting and singing, showing what he can do with only a piano, no studio tricks or Auto-tune, just hard work and good songwriting — he can spend more than 100 hours to finish just one song, and refers to himself as a recovering perfectionist.

He's offering his first album as part of a crowdfunding campaign to fund his next album which will be fully-arranged with instruments and percussion, and spans from dance-pop to art-pop, unique ballads and tunes to warm the heart or tickle the funny bone.

His main focus is music, and he has so far completed 58 songs ready to be arranged and recorded — including music writings but he seriously dabbles in other areas -- see for yourself or listen to his songs, here:

"In high school music class, I learned of a 19th-century creation -- the art song -- a perfect fusion of music and text.

My goal is to make art songs for the 3rd millennium, and it is my deepest wish that these songs will move you and lighten your journey in life. They come from deep within my heart; I hope they are strong enough to reach, and touch, deeply, yours." -- Denny Hall.
