Oil Spill Response Limited, the largest global oil spill response facility in the world, have demonstrated that they practise what they preach, with their excellent results in environmental, health & safety audits.
The Five Star Environmental and Health & Safety Audits were conducted by the British Safety Council. OSRL was awarded Four Stars in both, an improvement on last year’s Three Stars, revealing how important safety and environmental management are throughout the organisation.
David Neilson, Operations Manager at OSRL, was delighted with the rating:
“It has been an invaluable exercise for OSRL, confirming how highly we value health, safety and environmental management. This is the first year we have had an environmental award and the four stars are an excellent achievement. We look forward to implementing the British Safety Council’s recommendations to improve our standards even further.
“Auditing by an external organisation is a excellent way to compare your performance against high standards and to motivate your employees.”
The British Safety Council is Europe’s largest independent occupational health and safety organisation. The audits measure how far an organisation has gone towards achieving best practice.
