Spain: Expat’s book aims to help reader’s well being

Readers of a stunning new sci-fi adventure novel are in for a few surprise developments of their own.
Barcelona-based author Paul Kidd-Hewitt has not only written a gripping story, but he has developed and recorded a series of audio exercise to conclude each chapter.
The unique technological addition to Cambo & Josie and The Dream Dimension allows readers to not only enjoy the novel, but also practise the Dream Dweller’s Code with breathing exercises, positive thinking and problem solving.
Paul, whose father is celebrated criminologist and author David Kidd-Hewitt, explained the reasoning behind his self-help bonus material.
He said: “I wanted to write a great/sensitive story and mix it with useful and up to date - technologically speaking - self-help exercises related to breathing, creativity and self-confidence.
“Cambo & Josie and The Dream Dimension is a fusion of two areas - science-fiction adventure - and integrates philosophical concepts about dreams, actions and consequences, with the self-development exercises that have been written and recorded.
“It’s a multi-dimensional concept.
“I haven’t seen anything like this is any bookshop I’ve visited, so perhaps it’s time?”
Cambo & Josie and The Dream Dimension follows a brother and sister after their life-changing encounter with a holographic Dream Envoy.
In the fast-paced story, the siblings discover they have been selected as part of a new generation of Dream Dwellers for Earth.
Paul’s gripping adventure throws Cambo and Josie into the dream space of their fellow humans to undertake tasks of interstellar importance.
The 44-year-old, who works by day as an Educational Psychologist, explained: “Cambo and Josie and their remarkable encounter with Seigmon, a holographic Dream Envoy from the distant Dream Dimension, is just the start of this adventure.
“Unbeknownst to them, their own world is about to be turned upside down when Seigmon enters their very thought process with a startling message.
“From now on, every night they must undertake a task by entering into the dream space of fellow humans whilst they sleep at night-time and help them resolve their problems by finding the right solutions whilst dreaming.
“If they are unable to do this, they will be trapped within the Dream Dimension forever.”
Paul hopes to turn Cambo & Josie and The Dream Dimension, which took him three years to complete, into the first part of a series.
