South Devon ex-soldier’s high rank with business book

Added: (Wed Jun 16 2021)

Pressbox (Press Release) - A former army captain from South Devon is hoping his new five-star guide will get businesses across the country back into shape as they recover from the pandemic.
Steve Gaskell rose through the ranks of the British Army before reinventing himself in his 40s as a high-performance business coach.
The 52-year-old, who is now widely regarded as one of the country’s most inspiring boardroom speakers, has finally put his experience and wisdom on the page.
Business Shouldn’t Be This Tough! has already reached the top ten in the charts as well as attracting a string of five-star reviews.
Steve believes his guide will be beneficial to potential owners and current owners of all types and sizes of business.
He explained: “Business Shouldn’t Be This Tough! is focused on helping both would-be business owners and business owners to truly unlock their potential.
“This is done through first recognising where they are getting in the way, secondly understanding and recognising strategies to apply to better themselves, and ultimately building a business structure and business rhythm to develop success.
“Business Shouldn’t Be This Tough! is a no frills tell-it-as-it-is account of what it takes to be successful in business and life.”
Steve is quick to admit that writing wasn’t a natural gift, but persistence in compiling military operation reports led to him becoming a successful coach within the Army.
Since transferring his skills to the boardroom, he has been nationally recognised for his innovative methods of improving performance.
Steve’s first business guide, which peaked at number eight in Amazon’s Entrepreneurship chart, provides practical steps for making the most of what you have.
He added: “Business Shouldn’t Be This Tough! is written from the perspective of a high-performance coach and demonstrates how to take responsibility of current business success or lack of it.
“It goes on to show how to take full accountability and ownership in order to strive for success.”
Business Shouldn’t Be This Tough! has been described by critics as ‘a must read for any entrepreneur’, ‘tons of actionable content’, and ‘a small book with a huge impact’.
Fellow reviewer Laura Gorczyca stated: “A dose of inspiration that gets you thinking.”
Away from high-performance business coaching Steve is a director of his local rugby club in Newton Abbot, and is an active member of the local Chamber of Trade.
The father-of-two, who lists Patrick Lencioni, Brad Sugars and Jeb Blout among his favourite motivational authors, is currently working on a second book in his Shouldn’t Be This Tough series.
For more information log onto Amazon and search for Steve Gaskell, where the paperback and Kindle versions of Business Shouldn’t Be This Tough! are both available.
