Pressbox (Press Release) -
THE FRONT-LINE PROJECT
New songs representing A Day in the life of a ...
Paramedic, covid assessment worker, GP, care home worker.
My name is Jim Duncan and I am a musician based in Biggar Scotland. Recently I ended up in hospital at the age of 42 with a nightmarish Covid/A-fib combo.
I started getting treatment for a suspected stroke which fortunately turned out not to be the case, they reckon it was just a weird covid reaction.
My hospital stint reminded me of just how tough a job it is working for the NHS, my own families accounts have been pretty harrowing of late so as a songwriter I have set up The Front-line Project which is writing songs about the reflective accounts of NHS staff or key worker and front line individuals.
I wrote a song about their efforts and when people download the song, the money goes into writing and recording someone else's account of their daily lives.
Hopefully it will allow people working in these circumstances to get stuff off their chests in a way that we all love - music!
Here is a link to the song and the project details. I hope you like it and I'd be grateful if you could feature it. It's just launched today and you are the first people I have told about it.
All the best and love the show, it's my favourite on the radio.
