Pressbox (Press Release) - A Welsh postman is about to deliver nightmares for horror fans around the country after publishing the first part of his spine-chilling trilogy.
Lex Sinclair is already an established author with several novels, short-stories and published poems under his gothic leather belt.
Now the 36-year-old has released the initial instalment of the terrifying Don’t Fear the Reaper.
Having already earned glowing reviews, fans are now baiting for even more blood and gore with the second and third parts.
Lex admits the storyline of Don’t Fear the Reaper has been haunting him for decades.
He said: “I got the idea for Don’t Fear the Reaper when I was 17, but the scale of the project was too much for me back then.
“Nevertheless, the story stayed with me throughout the years and only went away when I finally sat down to write it.
“Don't Fear the Reaper is a end of the world horror thriller.
“It comes down to survival and good versus evil, mimicking the time before the world was created.”
Lex, who lives in the village of Skewen with his cat and dog, was awarded the runners-up prize at the Terry Hetherington Young Writer's Award in 2010 for his short story, The Die is Cast.
Several of his accomplished poems have been selected for anthology.
And all of the early novels, including Neighborhood Watch and The Goat’s Head, have been well received.
But his trilogy, Don’t Fear the Reaper, is expected to make the biggest impact with horror fans.
Lex added: “The falling asteroids crashing in Earth are causing global scale carnage and massive tidal waves.
“The Grim Reaper is on the prowl for lost souls to take... and now is the ideal time.”
Since the publication of the first book in the Don’t Fear the Reaper trilogy it has received encouraging reviews.
In her five-star review, Sharon Olsen-Vetland described Don’t Fear the Reaper as ‘a good read’.
Fellow writer Ian Sputnik added: “This book held my attention like a generous application of superglue.
“Staged alongside the impending doom of the earth due to a large chunk of rock from space hurtling towards it, this story works a treat.
“The characterisation is excellent and the pacing kept me interested from start to finish. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.”
Lex is currently working on the sequel to Don’t Fear the Reaper.
