New England writer’s time travelling sleuth goes fourth

One of the country’s most imaginative authors has returned with the fourth instalment of his gripping time-travelling detective series.
And this time it’s an all gun-slinging, saloon-dancing adventure story set at the lawless height of the Wild West.
Danny Flynn unexpectedly burst onto the literature scene three years ago with his explosive debut novel, Global Warming.
His five-star rated introduction to time-travelling sleuth Garret Clear was an instant hit.
The sequels Paranormal Sleuthing Near The Souhegan River and How to Hack a Local Election Without Using Foreign Help received similar responses.
Now the 51-year-old from New England is back with his distinguished detective this time heading off into the late 19th century sunset.
As with Danny’s previous novels, nothing is off limits in the stunningly imaginative Paranormal Time Traveller.
He explained: “In the Paranormal Time Traveller, the year is 1881 and Garrett is sent back in time to Noble City.
“On his first day in town he’s elevated to the position of Sheriff – and somehow gets into a multitude of gun-fights.
“As with my previous Garret books, he is guided by the Attorney General of Parallel World Number One and is expected to send the baddies back to the parallel worlds they came from.”
Paranormal Time Traveller is packed with fistfuls of bank robberies, saloon punch-ups, hold-ups and shootings.
But, in what has become a theme in Danny’s celebrated Garret Clear series, romance is never far away for his hero.
The author added: “Garret manages to solve a murder, two financial crimes, and is bushwhacked by a crooked lawyer during his adventure in Noble City – and that’s just the start.
“He keeps the City’s boss and his hench-people from taking control of the estranged wife’s wealth.
“He also becomes acquainted with a few of the women who live in Noble City.”
Away from writing Danny, who works as a legal researcher by day, is heavily involved in politics.
And he has previously met politicians such as Bernie Sanders, Al Gore and Carl Albert.
