Pressbox (Press Release) - Embargo: Immediate

SCOTLAND, 30 July 2001 - A series of hand coloured golf caricatures are the latest addition to the FineGolfArt.com catalogue of framed golf prints. The caricatures, published between 1890 and 1940, are humorous observations on the game of golf. On offer are not reproductions but the rare prints dating from the early part of the last century.

The hand colouring, using water-colour paints, is by Jolanda van Belzen. By applying traditional techniques, she re-creates the atmosphere of the era in which the caricatures were printed. For this detailed work she finds the Scottish countryside an excellent location: "Being so close to all these fine golf courses is very stimulating. And the scenery of hills and mountain burns and clouds and lochs is helping me to find the right colour combinations."

With these caricatures FineGolfArt.com is expanding its range of golf art gifts. Aimed at business executives and management secretaries, the company offers solutions when exclusive gifts are required to express appreciation to colleagues or business associates. All prints are set in frames that come with the added exclusivity of being hand made in Scotland, the Home of Golf.
