Forest musician hits high note with top book

Added: (Fri Feb 01 2019)

Pressbox (Press Release) - A rock musician from Gloucestershire is showing his more caring side with an inspirational new novel about loneliness and substance abuse.
A R Harris’s stunning In Angels Field is a thought-provoking and deeply moving book.
The 44-year-old dad-of-three from The Forest of Dean is a fulltime musician, inspired by the likes of Iron Maiden and Slayer.
And was even personally invited on the guest list to Leeds festival by the Los Angeles rap/rock band The Hollywood Undead.
Since the publication of In Angels Field, it has reached number seven in Amazon’s highly-competitive Urban Fiction chart.
Harris said: “In Angels Field is about two lost and lonely people – James and Louise - who both have very different reasons for being the way they are.
“They both have obstacles that are stopping them from moving on and evolving and they have to rely on each other to get through.
“In Angels Field is also about reliance on different substances and how they worsen situations and stop us from really finding the things we need.”
A R Harris has already written many novel-length manuscripts.
He is currently rewriting several more for publication following the success of both In Angels Field and the previously-released H.
Andrew, who also works part-time as a school driver, added: “My jobs allow me plenty of time for writing both music and novels and I am very grateful for that.
“In Angels Field was written a long time ago now, but I believe it was created due to my frustration and needing to believe in positivity, even at the bleakest of times.
“As dark as the book can go there is always hope for everyone and I like to think that the love people can discover for each other will always eventually win through if it is genuine and heartfelt .
“My family are a big inspiration and I’m gradually working my way through the back catalogue of works that have been gathering dust for the last 20 or so years.
“Of the family and friends who have read In Angels Field, liked it.
“It’s an achievement for me actually managing to get a few of my novels completed so I can leave something for my children once I’m gone.”
