Founded in 2002 by Marco Mondano, DC Music has been Toronto’s premier live music production studio for national and international acts, as well as a hub for local musicians to master their craft, build their career and gain live performance experience. For 20 years, DC Music has served the Toronto music community by providing professional live rehearsal studios, sound stage studios, recording studios, video production, concert promotion and artist development. DC Music also trains live event techs and is one of Toronto's main labour suppliers for everything from rock n roll to corporate events to the audiovisual industry.

“We’ve never forgotten our roots and why we started this company,” says Marco. “Over the years, we’ve grown so much and have seen some amazing talent come through our doors, and we’ve always kept our vision of being a company for musicians built by musicians. That’s why I feel we have a special relationship with all the artists we work with.”
Alongside its world class recording and production facilities, DC Music serves as one of Toronto’s top concert promoters and popular all-ages venue through hosting live events at DC Music for emerging talent, the first of its kind in the west end of Toronto.
“We were the first to open an all-ages venue in Etobicoke, It was pretty great. Kids could have some good clean fun and watch some great bands, and it became a really cool spot for a lot of hard rock and metal bands to play. Even though we’ve evolved to larger productions, we've decided to open back up our sound stage for concerts, especially now with many of our city's venues closed down. Our Anniversary concert series is the beginning of many more concerts to come at our venue, so we encourage all bands in all genres to hit our website and get info on how to book themselves onto one of our shows.”
In 2020 when the pandemic hit the live music industry hard, Marco and DC Music quickly jumped into action by providing a new avenue for acts to reach their audience by becoming Toronto’s first live streaming music venue. Anticipating an industry need for live streaming in 2019, DC Music had already begun to upgrade their studios in preparation. With a state of the art facility outfitted with top of the line equipment, DC Music became the first-call for live streaming events.
If a pandemic wasn’t enough, the Toronto music scene also suffered the redevelopment and decimation of rehearsal studios throughout the city. DC Music has stood strong and continues to provide a stable and affordable space for artists to rehearse, prepare for tours, and create music and video content. DC Music is providing a vital service to the local, national and international music community, and is looking to expand their business by opening additional rehearsal facilities in the near future.
