Cambs college worker’s hit book on healing

An arts college welfare officer from Cambridgeshire was drawn to the healing powers of trees after sitting beneath a local oak.
Thomas Marty’s epiphany has led him on a three-year journey of research and experiments to unlock the mystical beliefs and practices of Ogam healing.
And the 61-year-old dad-of-three has been rewarded with The Beginners Book of Ogam Tree Healing going straight to number one in the book charts.
Thomas’s convincing and authoritative study demonstrates the differing energies and powers associated with each type of tree.
The part-time counselling trainer, who is a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, believes The Beginners Book of Ogam Tree Healing can benefit everyone.
He explained: “I have been a spiritual light worker since the 90s and always knew that I would write something on spiritual development but was waiting for the right subject matter and inspiration to come along.
“This happened, under an oak tree when in communication with it - it asked me to research the healing properties of trees, as they are an excellent source of healing energy for us all.
“Not only did I have to research what Ogam is, but also how it can be used in different ways.
“I researched for over two years and then collated all the different information I had got for each tree into sections which included, their physical description, uses, and spiritual information.
“I worked on a number of case studies for a year as well as teaching a group of willing participants how to link into and channel this innate spiritual energy for healing purposes.
“They successfully attuned themselves to each tree and accessed their individual energies - these case studies were a great success.”
The Beginners Book of Ogam Tree Healing looks at the individual symbols associated with each type of tree and how they can provide access to its healing energies.
The identified tree energies provide powers for healing either the self, others, animals, plants or situations.
Thomas, who lives just outside Cambridge, added: “Ogam healing is using life force energy via the prism of specific trees for healing purposes.
“It can also inspire you to connect with your higher self, receive direct revelation, practise divination, bring peaceful repose through meditation, practise magic, link into your creative side, and change your life for the better.
“This book teaches you to attune to the trees and practise healing yourself and others in a safe and tested method.”
Thomas, who is inspired by authors such as Sandra Ingerman, Kristoffer Hughes and Philip Carr-Golm, is already planning three other books associated with Ogam tree healing.
He is currently working on an Ogam Oracle (divination) book, with an Ogam Meditation Book, and an Ogam Book of Magic also in the pipeline.
Thomas is also working on two novels.
