Cambridge half hippy accountant’s new novel

Added: (Tue Sep 27 2022)

Pressbox (Press Release) - A self-confessed half hippy from Cambridge is spreading the love with the release of his second deeply sensual novel.
Former accountant and trading manager James Corfe enjoys nothing more than retreating to the sanctuary of his garden studio to write, compose and to think.
Described by friends and family as being ‘half hippy’ he also heads for the remote Cornish coast at every opportunity to walk, swim and meditate.
Reclusive James has also channelled his thoughts and time into writing two gripping and beautifully observed novels.
2016’s The Affairs of the Commander’s Wife was met with critical acclaim, with reviewers describing the debut as ‘compelling’, ‘deeply erotic’ and ‘well written’.
And his latest offering, Hanna’s Dilemma, is just about to reach the shelves.
James admits his growing adult readership can expect further sensual enjoyment between the covers.
He said: “The reason I write is to express erotic desire and physical attraction, both of the imagination and in reality as they are of the greatest feelings known to mankind.
“The emotions and implications that arise from them are of the greatest joys and sorrows.
“I love this world and what it offers – the levels of awareness and our interaction with it.
“I write for real.
“I write it as it is – the love, the joy, the sadness and the humour that form the consequences.”
Hanna’s Dilemma is a beautifully observed thriller which presents a Scandinavian academic with some tough life choices.
James’s masterful story-telling and wonderful characterisation marry up to make his latest work a stunning psychological study of loyalty and love.
He admits his latest page-turner offers something a bit different for readers looking for a love story.
James added: “Hanna finds herself subtly approached to compromise her integrity to facilitate a life changing promotion for her career-driven husband.
“From that point on, nothing can be the same.
“Readers see it through her eyes and experience it through her mind as she makes her choices and the wheels of fate are set in motion.
“It is an unusual story of loyalty, of betrayal, and of love in its different forms.
“It is atmospheric and sensuous and with an ending you would not have foreseen.”
Following his early career in accountancy and management, James has worked as languages teacher and also run a woodworking and sculpture business in medieval art.
The Mensa member also enjoys music and philosophy in his spare time.
