Beds child author’s new book soars up charts

Added: (Wed Mar 03 2021)

Pressbox (Press Release) - A child prodigy from Bedfordshire has returned with her second illustrated book – and yet again Avianna Kabiito has reached the charts.
The eight-year-old, who has been writing since she was THREE, made history when her debut story, Avianna and Rupert the Space Bear, entered Amazon’s children’s charts in 2017.
Almost four years on, the gifted primary school pupil has reached the top ten again with her follow-up story, Everdale and the Adventurous Doughnut.
Excited Avianna admits the thrill of seeing her first book being published when she was just five remains one of her favourite memories.
She said: “Having my first ever children's book published when I was five and seeing it chart in the first week of release is my favourite achievement.
“I can almost write anywhere - in my room or the lounge, or even in the car - as long as I am inspired to write I will.
“I mostly write on my own, but I do work alongside my parents sometimes when I need help with something.”
Avianna’s latest children’s story is yet another thrilling, page-turning adventure featuring her adorable young protagonist, Everdale.
Only this time her companion is a living, breathing doughnut with a passion for travel.
Everdale and the Adventurous Doughnut is a hugely enjoyable and colourful storybook aimed at primary school children.
And just like, Avianna and Rupert the Space Bear, it has an underlying moral message to give it educational value.
Avianna’s previous work was described by thrilled reviewers as ‘entertaining’, ‘fun and inspiring’, and ‘fantastic’.
Critic Robin Leigh Morgan stated: “Children at this age have wondrous imagination which lends itself in coming up with stories like this.”
Away from writing Avianna has taught herself to play the piano, is also attempting to learn foreign languages and has a strong interest in STEM subjects.
She has already won several academic awards, was entered into the BBC’s 500 words competition two years ago and participated in a young entrepreneurs event at Tesla UK where she had an opportunity to showcase her first published story.
Avianna has gained growing support from all over the world and was invited to become the youngest special guest interviewee on the Pandemic Virtual Book Tour last year which was broadcast live across various online networks including Facebook and YouTube, sponsored and hosted by Coach Nikki Zeigler/HBCU Magazine (USA).
Avianna say's "I was speechless when I received a letter earlier this year from Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace, acknowledging and appreciating my work as a young author".
