Pressbox (Press Release) -
Clock House Furniture, East Lothian, is exporting its handmade stools to the USA after exhibiting at the AmericasMart exhibition space in Atlanta, January 2001, organised by Trade Partners UK.
Clock House Furniture's products were featured by The Manor Born Ltd, a US distributor with a permanent stand at the exhibition. The company took £20,000 worth of orders at the exhibition and signed a distribution agreement after the show.
The home furnishing event was promoted and sponsored by AmericasMart, but planned by the Trade Partners UK team at the British Consulate in Atlanta. The team recruited seven British home furnishings companies, selected the showroom and organised promotional events with British interior designer, Lady Spencer-Churchill.
Clock House Furniture manufactures stools upholstered with hand-sewn needlepoint and Aubusson rugs, kilims and fine fabrics, for the interior design market.
