Added: (Thu Mar 11 2021)

Pressbox (Press Release) - This poem about living in Covid times was written by 10yr old Reve Taneja. It has won a school competition.

Lockdown

Lockdown literally cages me,
No one thought it would be easy.
People yearning to meet friends will agree,
That 2020 has been an absolute catastrophe.

Lockdown grasped me with its dangerous claws,
No choice but to follow the government laws.
Restraining my liberty makes me feel stuck,
Wishing to conquer this virus with some luck.

Lockdown has been a lonely torture,
How terrible is this whole horror!
A pain to the worn-out soul.
A deep and intimidating misery for us all,

Tears of loss continue to dribble,
Losing loved ones will always leave a tremble.
Gloom dwells inside our heart.
All we need is a fresh start.

But surely soon we will come out,
Out of this shadow of grief and doubt.
One day we all will definitely be free,
There is no need for a guarantee.
